Before the Covid-19 quarantine hit, I was going tanning almost every day. Then EVERYTHING changed.

Since I couldn't go tanning, I started experimenting with self tanner. In this blog... I'm going to talk about four brands that I absolutely LOVE and are giving me the best results. The products range in price but the outcome is worth every penny. Two of the products are mousses, two are lotions, and one is a spray.

The silver lining to everything shutting down was it made me try the sunless tanning products.  These are way better for you then spend hours in the Sun. Also you don't have to worry about sunburn! When you find the right one for you the perfect tan can last all year long. 

 

The first brand is Tanned AF from b.tan. I love the name! And the price. It's $11 at Walmart! Crazy...right?! When I got mine I was already tan from the tanning bed so I got the darkest shade. On the packaging, it says it's a 1-hour tanning mousse and it's not lying. The best way to apply any kind of tanning mousse is with a tanning mitt. If you don't have a tanning mitt, no worries. Use a washcloth or even your hands. Be sure to wash them right after you are done. With Tanned AF it will be dark as soon as you put it on your skin. I start with three or four pumps on each leg, two pumps on my arms, one or two pumps on my face neck and body. After you let this sit on for 1 hour it safe to rinse off. However, if you want a deeper tan reapply a half-hour after you applied the first coat and then let sit for 4-6 hours. I usually reapply one coat every other day (after I shave) #btanBUB @btan.rocks

 

Mary Kay has Suncare Subtle tanning location. I have used this product for the last 7 years. I'm absolutely in love with it! I use this product to help keep up with my tan. So when I was tanning or over the summer is when I use this product the most. If you don't want to be crazy dark or just looking for a subtle look. This is the product for you! BALI BODY was the first brand that I started with and this is where I fell in love with self-tanner. I have three projects from BB. The self-tanning mousse, tanning facial water, and the tanning mitt. I got all three for $58.95 as a tanning kit. I highly recommend getting that kit! I apply the tanning mousse the same way as I applied Tanned AF with the mitt using a couple of pumps everywhere. This moose also has color to it so you will see your skin change color immediately. BB is safe to rinse off after an hour.  For a deeper tan reapply just like the tanned AF and let sit for up to eight hours.

Be sure to wear loose clothing. Most tanning products are dry to the touch but you don't want it rubbing off. I reapply this one WHICH ONE? maybe three times a week. Bali body Face tanning water is an amazing product just for your face. I apply this one with a washrag. It looks like water and it goes on clear, you will start to see throughout the day the color starting to appear. I reapply this 2 to 3 times a week!

Something important about the mitt. Definitely wash it after each use. Just rinse it with water and the bathroom let it air-dry it'll be good for your next application. You can buy Bali body products right from their website www.Balibody.Com

 

Now this next company I fell in love with! Bronzed Bunny, Camp Hill is right around the corner from me (how lucky am I). They have an entire salon and their own self-tanning formula! I was planning on going to the spa for another service and spray tan before the world ended! I was extremely excited when I saw on their Instagram page they were doing online orders for their Bronze Me Tan in a can ($32)and Extend Me Tan extending lotion ($26). The best way to describe Bronze Me is basically tan spray paint. You literally spray it on yourself. Helpful hint when doing this do it either in the bathroom or outside in your bathing suit! The first time I did it by myself. The second time I had a helper. You will instantly see a tan. After you're done applying let it air-dry until you're not sticky before you put on any clothing. After that, I wore loose-fitting clothing for up to six hours until it was safe to rinse. Their product was absolutely amazing not only did it smell great it lasted on its own about a week. I absolutely will be ordering this product again. And as soon as the salon is open, I will most definitely be booking those appointments. That second product I got was the tan extending lotion. This product can be used either on its own as a self-tanner or to help extend the life of your tan in a can! This lotion is one of my absolute favorites it has kind of us sunscreen smell to it which I personally love. It goes on super smooth and feels great. This lotion is white and then tans over time. This product I would not use everyday maybe three times a week at most.
