Contouring and highlighting your face

Want to bring out your best features? Highlighting and contouring can give you a whole new face—bringing out your cheekbones, slimming your nose, and sculpting your face for a beautiful you!

Over the last couple years I have had a ton of questions about how to contour and highlight your face. What products and brushes do you use? And, how do you do it?

I have always hated the way my nose looked. When I was 13 I asked my mom if I could have rhinoplasty (aka a nose job) she obviously said no and thank God she did! Contouring is way cheaper and a lot more fun! I use a couple different products to highlight and contour my face.

Contouring

For contouring,  shade the areas you want to define or reshape like your nose, forehead, or cheekbones. Use a matte powder, cream or pencil that is two shades darker than your skin tone. Skip the shimmery powder for contouring.

To Contour, use either bronzing powder or endless performance crème-to-powder foundation depending upon the season. I use either Mary Kay base 6 or Mary kay bronze 2. Depending on the product I use I either use a cheek brush and a mineral foundation brush or a liquid foundation brush and blending sponge to apply and blends contour. The pink shows where I contoured my face.

Highlighting

To highlight, use either under eye or endless performance Crèam-to-Powder Foundation.  I use Mary Kay’s Ivory 3. I use a cream eye color concealer Brush by Mary Kay and a blending sponge to apply and then blend. The purple shows where I highlight my face normally.

Finishing Spray

For blush, I use Juicy Java mineral cheek color Duo. I also use translucent loose powder to blend and set the makeup with a big powder brush. Finish with Mary Kay makeup finishing spray skindinävia.
